- Knowledge of various Industry Codes and Standards, Hazardous Area Classification, Instruments selection and sizing etc.
- Exposure to AutoCAD, Instruments sizing tools, M.S. Excel are required.

We undertake projects involving multi-disciplinary engineering starting from concept to commissioning of the plant. This position shall further strengthen our front-end as well as detail engineering skills. Strong process engineering skills are essential for this position.
Responsibilities
- Performs discipline check and Inter-discipline check of documents. Ensures that the required integrity and quality of the work is maintained. Familiar with the Quality/HSE Management system and their procedures
- Ensures timely corrective actions for the identified non-conformities.
- Reviews Client’s documents / contract requirements for proper understanding of requirements for project execution.
- Executes the engineering & design works within budget and schedule.
- Keeps a track of consumed engineering hours with reference to actual progress. Points out if some missing or contradicting data is affecting the progress
- Actively communicates with other disciplines to optimize areas of interface, during the design development, review, and check processes. Ensures design packages meet the relevant safety, environmental & ergonomic standards.
- Discusses with support engineers and designers regularly on scope, engineering hours, resources, and schedule etc.
- Prepares material requisitions, evaluate technical bids & reviews Vendor / third party documents.
- Participates in the Technical reviews and progress review of projects. Familiar with the Company procedures and international standards & codes.
- Maintains proper record of documentation to ease quick retrieval.
- Visits Clients, attends seminars/ workshops and makes technical presentations
- Reviews the scope of work and seeks clarifications for ambiguous / Incomplete / incorrect /contradicting information.
- Assists Department Head in preparing engineering hour estimates.
- Provides input to the project execution planning and scheduling.
- Identifies project specific engineering and design elements which requires sub-contracting.
- Mentors and develops junior staff to fulfil discipline engineering roles, helps facilitates team building.
Support Responsibilities:
- Workout deployment of personnel to various jobs in consultation with all to support optimum resource utilisation in Mechanical Engineering Group
- Support development of proposals, CTRs and work packs
- Support on-going development of process dept standards & procedures
- Participate in project acquisition meetings

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Graduate or Post-Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering
