Sector of activity

Petroleum Refinery

Year of Completion

2015

CAPEX

USD 58 Million

Project Mandate

To design a single train crude oil distillation unit with an overall initial capacity of 10,000 BPSD. The plant includes an Atmospheric Distillation Unit (ADU) and a Vacuum Distillation Unit (VDU) with their accumulative distillation units, such as strippers for the products and the pre-heat trains with the relevant heat integration systems. The plant shall process heavy crude from the Northern Iraq to produce basic products like Gas (C1 to C4), Naphtha, Kerosene, Atmospheric Gas Oil (AGO), Atmospheric Residue (AR), Heavy Gas Oil, Light Vacuum Gas Oil (LVGO), Heavy Vacuum Gas Oil (HVGO) and Vacuum Residue (VR).

Project Description

The Sulaymaniyah Refinery project involved the conceptual design and FEED to design the ADU, VDU along with its associated systems and to optimize the heat integration system used for pre-heating the fractionation units.
